Elisangela Gazano, 38, had just exchanged vows with her partner when she fell in the pool and drowned during the joint celebration for her wedding and her daughter’s birthday at a rented country house in Limeira, São Paulo.
While dancing near the pool, Elisangela lost her balance and fell into the water, despite not being able to swim. She immediately began to panic, prompting her friends to try and rescue her and call for help. Despite their efforts, Elisangela went into cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Just hours before the tragedy, Elisangela had shared a joyful photo on social media, capturing the moment she signed her wedding papers. Friends and loved ones mourned her passing, remembering her contagious joy and laughter.
The funeral for Elisangela is set to take place soon, as authorities in Limeira have categorized her death as an accident.
