Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang makes Barcelona debut with Arsenal tattoo on show

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made his Barcelona debut in Sunday’s 4-2 win over Atletico Madrid with his Arsenal allegiance very much on show.

The forward left Arsenal on deadline day for free, allowing him to sign with the Catalan giants.

Aubameyang had been frozen out at the Emirates since mid-December and was linked with a January exit.

Just 18 months ago he penned a new deal in north London following an impressive season during which he scored the winner in the FA Cup final.

However his form dipped after signing a fresh bumper contract and a disciplinary issue proved the final straw for Mikel Arteta at Arsenal.

Aubameyang’s affection for the Gunners though will forever be on him.
The Gabon international donned his new colours at the Nou Camp on Sunday but his Arsenal tattoo was clearly visible on his right arm.
An image of him with his two children walking out onto the Emirates turf has been inked onto his arm.

The 32-year-old has admitted to facing a challenging period and appeared to lay the blame for his Arsenal exit at Arteta’s doorstep.

“A difficult few months. I’ve never wanted to do anything wrong, it’s in the past,” said Aubameyang.
