The Army and Police have reportedly foiled an attempted jail break at Ikoyi prison today.
Soldiers and Policemen are currently stationed at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre as we type.
“I can see them from my house at the moment. Soldiers and policemen have arrived. I saw prisoners throwing stones and I saw fire”, an online eye witness says.
There’s also a report of fire outbreak at the prison facility, but no jail break.
