Passengers on AirAsia flight QZ533 from Perth to Jakarta experienced panic when the plane lost power before takeoff. The incident happened on Anzac Day, leaving travellers crying and struggling to breathe.
Some passengers claimed that 17 people were offloaded from the plane, and they felt stranded without assistance from airline staff.
Perth airport confirmed that passengers voluntarily left the plane due to “technical issues.” The aircraft departed an hour late and was over the Indian Ocean before 8 am, according to Flight Aware. It was scheduled to arrive at Jakarta airport more than an hour and a half late.
AirAsia has not yet provided a comment on the incident.
