Dr. Anuoluwapo Adepoju, a Nigerian cosmetic surgeon, and her clinic, MedContour Services Ltd, have been found guilty on all five counts by the Federal High Court in Lagos State
The charges related to refusing to cooperate with an investigation into botched surgeries and failing to produce relevant documents.
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) brought the charges against Dr. Anu and her clinic.
After a prolonged legal battle, the court finally delivered its verdict, convicting Dr. Anu and her clinic on all counts.
This outcome marks a significant victory for consumer rights and highlights the importance of medical professionals being held accountable for their actions.
As noted by Babatunde Irukera, the former CEO of FCCPC, “Dr. Anu Adepoju & her medical practice convicted in all 5 counts charged by FCCPC. The wheel of justice may grind slow, but we must see it through.
