Kenneth Okonkwo, who served as a spokesperson for the Labour Party’s presidential campaign council in the 2023 elections, cited his inability to guarantee 100% loyalty to Obi as the reason for his decision.

In a statement, Okonkwo emphasized his commitment to loyalty and transparency, stating that he owes it to everyone to disclose his change of heart.

He clarified that his next steps in politics will not involve joining the APC or PDP but may include consolidating the Labour Party or exploring other options.

Okonkwo expressed his desire for a strong political party with a grassroots base to challenge the existing political establishment.

He emphasized the need for a decisive leader who can build a party of integrity and character from the ground up.
