The Nigeria Police Force has issued a directive in preparation for the upcoming #EndBadGovernance protests, effective immediately
The order, issued by the Police Department of Operations in Abuja, mandates:
– All officers and personnel on leave to resume duty immediately, with all forms of leave suspended.
1. Personnel to wear camouflage, while PMF units are instructed to wear black with denim trousers.
2. Only trained and trustworthy personnel to be deployed for protest operations.
3. Strict prohibition on alcohol consumption.
4. Personnel to take full responsibility for their actions.
5. Excess arms and ammunition to be moved to state headquarters armoury.
6. All personnel are confined to barracks and must be vigilant.
According to SaharaReporters, the memo emphasizes that lapses will not be tolerated and strict consequences will follow non-compliance.
The order aims to ensure a robust and responsible police presence during the protests.
