Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has announced her participation in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant, following her withdrawal from the Miss South Africa Beauty Pageant due to concerns for her family’s safety and wellbeing
Adetshina, a law student of Nigerian and South African descent, faced controversy and xenophobic backlash in South Africa over her eligibility to compete.
Despite this, she received significant support from many who defended her right to participate.
Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has now expressed her excitement to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant, which she describes as Africa’s most recognized beauty contest.
Her decision has been met with widespread support from fans and celebrities, who wish her well in the upcoming competition.
