Ruger has shared a humorous critique on the use of autotune in live performances, which many fans believe to be a subtle jab at fellow artist Davido
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Ruger commented that he doesn’t need autotune, poking fun at artists who rely on it during performances.
This came shortly after a viral video of Davido performing with Angelique Kidjo, where viewers noticed the use of autotune and shared mixed reactions.
In his post, Ruger wrote:
“Now, let’s talk about the gaddamn autotunes on the mic when y’all perform😂😂😂. Next time, tell your engineer to shut it down when you’re about to speak coz you be speaking in Tunez wahalaaaaaa. Well, Ruger don’t need that sh*t. thank you ❤️”
Although, he didn’t mention Davido, but fans quickly connected his remarks to the viral performance.
