Jake Paul showed off a $100,000 ear cover as a display of wealth and a playful jab at Mike Tyson before their upcoming fight on Saturday.
Just days ahead of Netflix’s first live boxing event, Paul, Tyson, and other fighters took part in a press conference at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas.

During the press event, host Ariel Helwani highlighted Paul’s sparkling ear cover, valued at $100,000, and created by VOBARA.
Paul wore the piece on his right ear as a nod to Tyson’s infamous bite on Evander Holyfield’s ear during their 1997 heavyweight rematch.
Paul joked, “I’m not getting my ear bit off on Friday night,” while showing the diamond-studded ear cover to the camera.
The piece was inspired by the moment Tyson bit Holyfield’s ear—a shocking incident that rocked the boxing world 27 years ago.

The infamous bite occurred in their 1997 rematch, known as “The Bite Fight,” after Holyfield won their first encounter in 1996.
Tyson’s bite led to his disqualification in the third round, forever marking it as one of boxing’s most notorious moments.
