Okoye, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, was granted bail set at N100 million. As part of the conditions, he must provide two sureties, each owning landed property in Lagos valued at N100 million. The court will verify these properties, and Okoye is prohibited from traveling outside Nigeria without permission. Until he meets these conditions, he will remain in custody.

His trial is scheduled to begin on April 14, 2025.

The case has reignited tensions within the Okoye family. Peter and Paul Okoye, known as P-Square, had split in 2017 following disagreements over Jude’s role as their manager.

Although they briefly reconciled in 2021, their dispute resurfaced in August 2024 when Paul accused Peter of facilitating Jude’s arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Peter alleged that Jude had diverted funds from their joint account into a separate company, prompting him to report the matter to the EFCC.

As the legal battle unfolds, the controversy surrounding the Okoye family continues to attract public attention.
