A fire broke out on Thursday at the General Hospital in Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos State, destroying part of the facility
A Facebook user, Modinat Melemuku, who shared a video from the scene, wrote, “Happening now at General Hospital Ifako-Ijaiye, College Road. Please repost. Help is needed.”
There are growing concerns that some babies and nursing mothers could be trapped inside the three-storey building, although The Guardian has not confirmed any casualties at this time.
Firefighters have reportedly arrived at the scene to combat the fire.
