Business coach and record label executive Nancy Nnadi, popularly known as Coach Nancy, has officially retracted her statement against gospel music star Mercy Chinwo
The retraction follows months of legal dispute after Chinwo filed a defamation lawsuit at the Abuja High Court through her lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi.
The controversy began in March when Nnadi, who also serves as Managing Director of EeZee Conceptz, accused Chinwo of financial misconduct amid the singer’s legal battle with her former manager and label boss, Ezekiel ‘EeZee Tee’ Onyedikachukwu.
Nnadi had claimed that Chinwo diverted funds, but those allegations were later refuted with documented evidence, including verified email exchanges and payment receipts.
As part of the settlement process, Chinwo’s legal team demanded a public apology and the removal of all defamatory posts from Nnadi’s social media accounts.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Nnadi announced she was withdrawing her earlier claims.
“On the advice of my lawyer, and for the sake of peace and the love of God, I retract my earlier post about Minister Mercy Chinwo,” she wrote.
“I also pray Almighty God to perfect the ongoing settlement process being facilitated by the Fathers of Faith between her and EeZee Conceptz.”
She also pledged to refrain from making further negative statements about Chinwo or her legal team.
Meanwhile, the dispute between Chinwo and EeZee Tee is still ongoing. The singer has accused Onyedikachukwu of contract fraud, claiming he secretly substituted a signed 2017 contract with a different version without her knowledge. Chinwo also alleged that he diverted over $345,000 in earnings from her digital platforms and events without remitting her share.
The matter is now reportedly being mediated by respected Christian leaders under the banner of reconciliation.
