Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi, who had an outstanding season with the club, may soon face trial over a r3pe allegation stemming from an incident in February 2023

According to Le Parisien, the Nanterre prosecutor’s office has formally requested his indictment.
The case dates back to early 2023, when a 24-year-old woman reported to the Nogent-sur-Marne police that she had been s3xually assaulted at Hakimi’s residence.
Though she initially stated she did not wish to press charges, she chose to file a formal declaration of rape. According to investigative sources, the alleged victim accused the player of committing non-consensual digital penetration.
Hakimi has consistently denied the allegation, claiming he is the target of an extortion attempt. He was formally indicted in March 2023 and later appeared for a judicial confrontation toward the end of that year.
In a final indictment signed on Friday, the Nanterre prosecution recommended that Hakimi be tried for rape by the Departmental Criminal Court of Hauts-de-Seine. If found guilty, the 26-year-old Moroccan international could face up to 15 years in prison.
