Raye, who earlier criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration over rising living costs, was rumored to have had her service extended as punishment — a claim NYSC denied.
She now says that although she has fulfilled all obligations, she still has no certificate, a document essential for many jobs and postgraduate programs in Nigeria.
While no official link has been confirmed between her criticism of government and the alleged denial, the case has sparked concerns about fairness and the subtle consequences of dissent.
Rights groups say it highlights a pattern where outspoken critics of government policies face indirect penalties without formal sanctions.
The NYSC has not responded to her latest claims.
