Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have reportedly raided the Green Legacy Hotel, located within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library premises in Abeokuta, Ogun State, arresting several youths suspected of internet fraud

According to Punch Online, the operation took place in the early hours of Sunday during a pool party at the library complex.
The incident occurred just five days after EFCC’s Ibadan Zonal Directorate arrested a suspected internet fraudster with two locally-made pistols during a raid at K-Hotel in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area, where 55 suspects were taken into custody.
A viral video from Sunday’s raid showed guests fleeing in panic as gunshots rang out. EFCC operatives reportedly seized over 20 luxury cars and other valuables.
Sources said the operation was conducted by officers from the commission’s Lagos Directorate.
An X user, A. Ayomide, recounted leaving the venue minutes before the raid. “Literally left my house past midnight to go to OOPL, got there and the crowd was too much. I don’t like the settings, my guy doesn’t like the settings, so we were just at the car park. Left around 1:30, 20 minutes later I get home and I’m getting calls that EFCC is raiding OOPL.”
Vitalis Ortese, Managing Director of OOPL Ventures, confirmed the incident but gave no details. “Yes, they did. There was an incident this morning. We will find out and we will let you know,” he said.
EFCC’s Lagos zonal spokesperson, Ayo Oyewole, said he was unaware of the raid but would verify, while the commission’s head of media, Dele Oyewale, also promised to confirm and respond.
