Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako has opened up about the personal and financial setbacks she suffered for supporting President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 elections
In an interview with Behind The Fame TV, Daramola-Salako revealed that her political stance cost her two lucrative ambassadorship deals worth N10 million and N15 million, while also straining her marriage.
“The truth is, the way I was in 2023 cannot be the way I will be in 2027,” she said. “I know what I lost without collecting a kobo. I lost two ambassadorship deals — one worth N10 million, another worth N15 million — because of the Obidient movement. I almost lost my marriage. But at the end of the day, I voted my conscience and my choice.”
The actress, who served as media assistant for the performing arts directorate of the APC’s 2023 presidential campaign council in Lagos, emphasized that her loyalty to Tinubu stems from a personal relationship, describing him as a father figure who has stood by her in significant moments, including her wedding.
Despite the backlash, Daramola-Salako insists she has no regrets about supporting him.
