The Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade, has confirmed that all outstanding payments owed to the Super Falcons have been cleared
Speaking on Arise TV on Friday, Olopade said the payments were settled before the team’s final match against Morocco.
“I can confirm authoritatively that all their bonuses have been paid. I spoke with Ajibade yesterday and with the NFF, and everybody is on the same page,” he said.
Olopade, however, noted that one or two players may still be experiencing delays in receiving their bonuses due to banking issues with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
He assured that President Bola Tinubu’s promise to the team would be fully honored. “On the promise of Mr. President, I can assure you that it will be paid,” he stated.
Olopade added that the NSC is also collaborating with the Minister of Works and Housing to ensure the players receive the houses pledged to them.
