Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has gifted a new brand Sports Utility Vehicle to the popular gospel singer and broadcaster Yinka Ayefele who also doubles as the Chairman of Fresh FM Radio 105.9

Presenting the SUV to Ayefele in today, Tuesday, August 19, the governor praised the broadcaster for his resilience and contributions to the entertainment industry and media growth in the state in particular and Nigeria in general.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Otunba Ademola Ojo who represented the Governor, handed him the keys to the SUV.

He said, “On behalf of the State Governor, Makinde, and the State Government, we are here to commiserate with you. You are a symbol of perseverance and inspiration to millions of Nigerians.

“On behalf of the Governor and the state government, we present this gift to you.”

It would be recalled that Makinde had earlier visited the station a day after the inferno to commiserate with Ayefele and assess the extent of the damage.

  1. Won’t it be more befitting for the government to donate cash than give him a car worth around 60 million. If they had given him 30 million the state would have saved an extra 30 million. Misplaced priority
