A Nigerian journalist, Salis Manaja, has been abducted by gvnmen while travelling to Ilorin, Kwara State for the annual PRNigeria Young Communication Fellowship
Manaja who works with Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), publishers of PRNigeria and Economic Confidential, was reportedly abducted on Saturday while journeying from Abakaliki, Ebonyi State to Ilorin.
Reports say his family has been contacted by the abductors, who have demanded a ransom.
The Programme Lead, Muhammad Dahiru Lawal who also confirmed the abduction says efforts to reach him several times has failed after his phone line became unreachable.
Details about the exact location of the abduction are still unclear.
The PRNigeria Young Communication Fellowship is an annual training programme held in Kano, Abuja, and Ilorin to build the skills of young journalists and media professionals.
