A Magistrate’s Court in Kuje, Abuja, has granted bail to activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore, lawyer Aloy Ejimakor, Prince Emmanuel Kanu — brother to detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu — and ten others
The thirteen defendants were each granted bail in the sum of N500,000, with two sureties in like amount.

According to Punch Online, the group was arrested and arraigned for allegedly inciting public disturbance and breaching the peace during the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest held in Abuja on October 20.
While Ejimakor, Emmanuel Kanu, and ten others were apprehended during the protest and subsequently remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre, Sowore was arrested three days later — on October 23 — at the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja, where he had gone to show solidarity during Kanu’s terrorism trial.
