Comedian Zics Aloma believes financial stability should come before marriage
He shared on Instagram that a man without a steady income shouldn’t get married, emphasizing that societal pressure shouldn’t override financial readiness.

Zics Aloma cited his personal experience, saying he’s financially stable but still feels unprepared for marriage, wanting to provide a certain lifestyle for his future family.
He said: “I remember my mom calling me on my 34th birthday, asking when I would get married. Even though I’m financially stable, I still feel I’m not ready because there’s a kind of life I want to give myself, children, and wife.”
He also shared a story about a friend who rushed into marriage without being financially ready, often seeking help, and eventually had to cut ties.
“He sent me an invitation that he wanted to get married, saying marriage brings blessings. Soon after, he told me his wife was pregnant. I took on the responsibility, but at some point, I had to block him because he wasn’t ready to be responsible as a family man.”, he said.
He advised men, especially Gen Z, to develop skills early for financial stability and preparation towards marriage.
