Restaurant owner, 44, killed under wheels of own car in ‘road rage attack horror’

A man killed under the wheels of his own car in a suspected road rage horror has been named locally as restaurant owner Manmeet Singh.

A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after the 44-year-old victim died at the scene in Hounslow, west London, on Saturday night.

Police believe Mr Singh may have been involved in a dispute with the owner of another vehicle before the tragedy.

Diners at the Passage to India described seeing legs beneath a Mercedes after shouts and screams were heard outside, reports the Evening Standard.

Met Police were called at 9pm to reports of a road traffic incident.

Officers, paramedics and firefighters attended, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene less than an hour later.

A man arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident has since been bailed, pending further inquiries.
