A suspicious wife cut off her drunk husband’s p3nis and flushed it down the toilet in a bloody jealous rage – but he has begged a court to go easy on her
The enraged woman attacked her husband in a cafe after reportedly suspecting him of being unfaithful.
Only identified as A, the 58-year-old woman struck in a coffee shop in the Hwado-myeon district on Ganghwa Island, South Korea, in August 2024.
She has since been found guilty of special aggravated bodily harm over the early morning attack on her 50-year-old husband.
Court records show A’s husband had been drinking alone at the cafe and had fallen asleep.
The woman’s 40-year-old son-in-law (only identified as B), entered the establishment and bound him with a rope and industrial tape.
After the victim was restrained, she began her savage attack, stabbing her husband around 50 times before using a sharp weapon to sever his penis.
She took the unattached genital and flushed it down the cafe’s toilet, destroying the possibility of surgical reattachment, according to the court.
The man was later rushed to hospital after emergency responders found him.
He underwent surgery and survived the attack, however he has been left with lasting physical and psychological injuries.
The victim reached a settlement with his wife and formally asked the court for leniency.
His request was taken into account during sentencing.
The woman was sentenced to spend seven years in prison, while her son-in-law was jailed for four years over his role in the attack.
The duo appeared before the Incheon District Court on separate dates in January.
Police said the woman had planned out the brutal ambush on her husband after she suspected him of cheating.
She had reportedly enlisted her daughter to help spy on him.
The couple’s daughter was fined £1,514 (KRW 3 million), after she hired an unregulated private investigator to illegally track her father’s movements using GPS.
