Activist Deji Adeyanju has accused former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai of hypocrisy, saying the ex-governor who once oppressed people is now pleading for the rule of law
The remarks came after security agents attempted to arrest El-Rufai at the Abuja International Airport upon his return from Cairo, Egypt. The former governor refused to comply, insisting that any official action should come through a formal letter of invitation.

El-Rufai responded on social media, saying, “My lawyers have issued a statement that condemns the illegal attempt to arrest me today at the Abuja airport upon my arrival from Cairo. Our country must outgrow executive overreach and deliberate disregard for the rule of law.”
Adeyanju while reacting on X tweeted;
“El-Rufai who oppressed everyone yesterday is crying and begging for rule of law. Karma, thank you for this.”
