Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest has fired back at critics who labeled his support for President Bola Tinubu as a betrayal of his Igbo heritage.
Posting on Instagram, he questioned the tribal framing of political support:
“If an Igbo Man Supporting Tinubu Is A Betrayal, What Is A Yoruba Man Supporting Obi? We Can Only Be Nigerians for us to prosper in Nigeria.”
He praised Tinubu’s political experience and strategy:
“Tinubu Is 20 Steps Ahead… For Tinubu to become president, he motioned to Buhari, a Hausa man, and waited for 8 years before he could become president. Tinubu SERVED!!!!”
On the importance of aligning with structured leadership for personal and national growth, he added:
“Follow Who Know Road, Stay With Person Who Gets Structure So That You Sef Fit Tap In & Plan For Your Own Better Future… If You Can’t Beat Them, You Join Them. Umunne, It’s Better To Be Inside Than Outside.”
Cubana Chief Priest’s statement comes amid rising debates about political loyalty and tribal identity in Nigeria’s election landscape.
