El-Rufai appears at EFCC headquarters

Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai, has complied with the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

El-Rufai, a senior member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), had been called in for questioning over alleged corruption during his tenure as governor. He arrived at the EFCC headquarters flanked by hundreds of supporters.

The former governor had previously resisted arrest at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, last Thursday.

Following that incident, he told several media outlets that the attempted arrest was orchestrated by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.
