Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has slammed businesses and vendors who use her name or images to promote products without her consent.
In a fiery statement on her official Instagram page, the actress made it clear that buying a product or service does not automatically mean she will tag the brand or give them free publicity on her social media.
She stressed that no payment or transaction entitles anyone to use her likeness for marketing.
“Also do not use my picture/video on your page for any form of promotional purposes without my consent or permission. If you do, you go hear am 📌 Read that again!!! To whom it may concern 📌 I don’t run a charity except @dayoamusafoundation,” she wrote.
Amusa further clarified that her charitable works are strictly through her own Dayo Amusa Foundation.
Anyone outside this initiative attempting to use her name or content for promotion is on notice:
action will be taken.
She concluded with a strong warning for would-be offenders:
“HENCEFORTH!!! If I am paying or I pay for your product or service, don’t expect me to mention or tag you in my post. DO NOT USE MY PICTURE / VIDEO for any form of sales marketing or promotional purposes without my permission, consent or authorization. You go hear am Ese o! Thank you!”
