Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been banned form horseback riding, according to reports
The Sun reported that royal aides worry the former prince being seen smiling on horseback while under police investigation is a “bad look”.
Andrew was arrested on Thursday, February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has been accused of sharing sensitive information with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein while serving as the UK’s trade envoy, but the exact reason for the arrest has not been disclosed.
The 66-year-old was regularly seen horse riding around the Windsor estate. But he has been told not to do the same near his current home at Wood Farm, where photographers can get a snap.
A source told The Sun: “Since his arrest last week he has been ordered not to go horse riding. It’s considered a bad look.”
“They don’t think he should be seen grinning and smiling on his horse like he was in Windsor.”
“But it was one of the few things he actually enjoyed doing so what on earth is he going to do with his time?”
Andrew voluntary surrendered his gun licence to police last year, ending another of his hobbies.
Later that evening he was moved to live on King Charles’s Sandringham estate, The Sun reported.
He is expected to move into his new home at neighbouring Marsh Farm by early April.
Andrew served as trade envoy between 2001 and 2011.
