Family, friends, and fans of actor Bamidele Saint, popularly known as Okemesi, gathered in Lagos on Friday to bid farewell to the comic star, three days after his passing.
Okemesi passed away on Tuesday at a Lagos hospital after falling into a coma reportedly linked to complications from medication he received during treatment. He was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. that day.

During the burial at Ayobo Cemetery, the actor’s sister broke down in tears, demanding answers about the circumstances of his death. In a video from the graveside that has gone viral, she cried,
“If it is someone that did this to my brother, may the person pay. I am the last born. If it is someone that did this, in one month time let the person pay.”, she said.

Okemesi gained popularity through his roles in Yoruba films and comedy skits, earning acclaim for his humour and his signature use of the Ekiti dialect, which endeared him to audiences both online and in cinemas.
