What started as a mission to save lives has spiraled into a storm of heartbreaks and serious questions.
Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola is no longer staying quiet as online allegations of fraud swirl around Agbala Gabriel. At the center of the controversy are two ailing individuals who claim that donations raised in their names never reached them.
One of them, Morenikeji a woman battling a severe spinal condition has made a troubling accusation.
According to her, Gabriel collected funds meant for her medical treatment but allegedly blocked her from accessing the money.
Daramola became entangled in the situation because she had initially stepped in to help Morenikeji. The actress reportedly mobilized support, arranged accommodation in Lagos, and even provided medical equipment to monitor her condition while fundraising efforts continued for surgery.
But things took a dramatic turn.
Daramola revealed she stepped back after Morenikeji’s family traveled to Ibadan to meet Gabriel.
At the time, she believed they had chosen to work directly with him. Gabriel, she noted, is said to have raised “over N240 million” for various causes.
However, murmurs began growing louder as some beneficiaries allegedly claimed they never received the financial support promised to them.
The tension escalated when Morenikeji’s family reportedly returned to Daramola, seeking help once again.
The actress admitted she was frustrated by the back-and-forth but still continued to assist.
Then came a livestream that added even more fuel to the fire.
Ronke, one of Morenikeji’s children, publicly shared their experience. She confirmed that Daramola had provided financial support, accommodation, and medical supplies for her mother. However, the family later made the decision to travel to Ibadan to meet Gabriel.
According to Ronke, they were taken to a rural area where Gabriel allegedly promised to build a house for them.
She claimed she suggested using their own land, but he insisted on building on his property instead.
That promise, she implied, never materialized.
Ronke further alleged that during their stay in Ibadan, the expected support did not come through. With no clear progress and mounting uncertainty, the family reportedly returned to Lagos back to Daramola.
Now, the big question hanging in the air: Where did the money go?
While these remain allegations and no official findings have been released, the emotional weight of the claims has shaken social media. With “over N240 million” reportedly raised across multiple cases, scrutiny is intensifying.
For now, Daramola has made one thing clear she did her part. But as more voices come forward, the controversy surrounding Agbala Gabriel is far from over.
And the public is watching closely.
