Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has responded firmly to recent remarks by Baba Ijesha, after he alleged that her children were once under his care

In a detailed statement, Iyabo clarified that while she has no issue with him sharing his own version of events, she will not tolerate any attempt to involve her children.

“SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT

I honestly have no problem with you, Baba ljehsa telling your side of the story.

But take this as a notice to CEASE AND DESIST from using my children as your cheap bait. It won’t fly.”

She firmly rejected the claim, explaining that her children were never left alone or without proper supervision at any time.

“My kids have always had nannies or my late mum with them, and they were never alone.”

The actress also recalled that during the period in question, she operated a busy business in Ilupeju with several staff members, making it unlikely she would personally handle errands or leave her children unattended.

“At my former business place in Ilupeju, I had multiple staff, including stylists, sales reps, and apprentices, so it’s unlikely I’d be the one running errands. I can send a worker if needed.”

Iyabo further described her relationship with Baba Ijesha as strictly professional, dismissing any deeper connection.

“You were a senior colleague no more to it…”

Addressing the broader issue, she emphasized that the case involved a minor and stressed that sexual assault is a serious crime that should never be downplayed.

“However, that 14-year-old girl was a minor, and sexual assault is never okay. It is a crime. You should show some remorse.

The court found you guilty based on evidence, so please don’t drag my kids into this.”

She concluded with a strong warning, stating she would take legal action if her children are mentioned again.

“Stop mentioning their names else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers.”

Iyabo ended her message with hashtags condemning child abuse and rape, reinforcing her stance against such acts.
