Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has shared how he found love again after his previous marriage ended.
The singer revealed that it took him time to find the right partner, and that his wife, Ivy Zenny, stood out for her honesty and simplicity.
Speaking to Clout Africa, Rudeboy said he dated three women after his divorce from Anita Okoye, with whom he shares three children.
“I was searching for peace in a partner something I eventually found in her,” he said.
He highlighted a moment that left a lasting impression on him. During a shopping trip, Ivy picked only two items and noted that the same money could buy her more clothes at Tejuosho market. “She was just her real self,” Rudeboy said, explaining that her authenticity and straightforwardness made her different from anyone he had dated before.
On marriage, Rudeboy emphasized that it should be enjoyed without pressure. “Marriage is fun, but not a do-or-die affair,” he said, adding that separation is sometimes necessary when a relationship isn’t working.
Rudeboy also reflected on how his personal experiences influence his music. His hit song Reason With Me was inspired by a past relationship, showing how heartbreak and love have shaped his artistry.
The singer further addressed his past legal issues, confirming that he has been cleared by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and that an official statement will be released soon.
Today, Rudeboy and Ivy share a daughter, and the singer says he has finally found the peace and happiness he had been searching for in love.
