The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has debunked a viral wanted notice featuring Sabinus, describing it as false and deceptive
The agency addressed the issue on Thursday through its official X account, clearly marking the circulating poster as “FAKE NEWS” while warning those responsible to stop spreading misinformation.

“Clout chaser, Stop this now!” the EFCC stated.
The edited poster, which had spread across multiple social media platforms, falsely claimed that Sabinus was wanted for obtaining money under false pretence. It also included a supposed address at 13/14 Ligali Ayomide Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The image closely imitated the EFCC’s standard format for declaring suspects wanted, making it appear authentic.
