Nigerian singer Paul Okoye and his estranged wife Anita Okoye have both shown love to their son, Andre, as he turns 13.
Anita was the first to celebrate him, sharing a heartfelt message on her page about how emotional it feels to now have a teenager. She spoke about how becoming his mother changed her life and how proud she is of the young man he’s becoming.
She wrote:
“Somebody pinch me… I have a teenager.
Happy 13th birthday to my incredible son, Andre.
Thirteen years ago, God chose me to be your mother, and that will forever be my greatest honour.
You made me a mom, and from that very moment, my life found a deeper purpose. Watching you grow into the strong, kind, intelligent, and determined young man you are becoming fills my heart with so much pride.
Andre, you are not just growing older… You are growing into greatness. Your strength, your spirit, your resilience… it inspires me daily. You have a quiet power about you, and I know without a doubt that you are destined for something truly extraordinary.
As you step into your teenage years, I pray that this new chapter is filled with favour, wisdom, confidence, and divine protection. May you walk boldly in who God has called you to be. May you never shrink, never doubt your worth, and never forget how deeply you are loved.
Keep dreaming big. Keep showing up strong. Keep being you.
I love you more than life itself, and I am so proud to be your mom.
Happy birthday, my firstborn.”
Shortly after, Paul also marked the occasion with a simple but loving message to his son. Referring to him as his “biggest boy,” he prayed for God’s blessings and growth in his life.
He wrote:
“My biggest Boy Andre
Today is your big day.
Happy 13th Birthday, and may the good lord continue to bless you as you grow with strengths and with his grace
Love you, son.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”
Even though they are no longer together, both parents took time to celebrate their son, making his 13th birthday a special and love-filled moment.
