The conversation sparked by Nollywood actor Yul Edochie over respect in relationships has taken a new turn, following a response from Emmanuel Obasi, the former husband of Judy Austin, who is now married to the actor.
Reacting to Yul’s recent advice encouraging men to leave relationships where they feel disrespected, Obasi offered a contrasting opinion. While Yul had urged men not to tolerate what he described as “nonsense” and to walk away from partners who fail to respect them, Obasi’s response suggested a different approach to handling relationship challenges.
Sharing his thoughts, Obasi implied that endurance and maturity are part of what defines a man in a relationship. According to him, dealing with a partner’s difficult moments is not something to run from.
He wrote:
“If You Can’t Take A Woman’s Excesses, You Are Not Yet A Man, You Are A Boy”.
His response reflects a different opinion on how men should approach challenges in relationships, offering a contrast to Yul Edochie’s earlier statement.
