Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has officially shown interest in contesting for a seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections.He is eyeing the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Chief Priest made his intention known during a meeting with APC leaders and party executives at the party secretariat, where he spoke about why he is stepping into politics.
According to him, his reason for joining politics is not about personal enrichment or accessing public funds. Instead, he said his focus is on contributing to the development of his constituency and supporting the people directly.
He also explained that if he gets elected, he would not only depend on government allocations but would also commit his own money to help push projects and improve the lives of people in the area.
In his words, he stated clearly:
“I Am Not Coming To StëaI Money, I Am Planning To Add Mine To The Constituency Account”
His statement has already started generating conversations, especially as more well-known personalities continue to show interest in active politics ahead of 2027.
