Cleric Enoch Adeboye has ignited debates on the qualities men should look out for before choosing a wife
During a sermon, he urged that practical abilities like cooking and hospitality should not be overlooked, stressing that they contribute to peace and stability in marriage.
He further highlighted intelligence and good character as key requirements, saying his advice is rooted in biblical principles.
In his words:
“Don’t marry a girl who cannot cook. We’re talking of excellent counsel. Only me can tell you these things. If she can’t cook, even if a prophet says this is your wife. Say thank you, keep her. Because if she can’t cook, if she can’t be hospitable, you’re heading for trouble. The Bible made it clear that your wife must be someone who is intelligent and hospitable…”
