Carter Efe has claimed he wants to fight Afrobeats star Wizkid during a livestream.
The content creator made the statement while streaming from businessman E-Money’s house, where he had gone to collect his N50 million prize money after defeating Portable in their celebrity boxing match.
During the livestream, Carter Efe said:
“The person I want to f!ght with now is Wizkid and I want his son, Boluwatife to be there too”
The comment triggered reactions from Wizkid’s fans, many of whom accused him of disrespecting the music star.
Some fans also criticised singer Kcee for not intervening during the moment, arguing that he should have cautioned Carter Efe instead of laughing along.
One fan wrote:
“Kcee could’ve warned Carter Efe to stop shading Wiz, but instead he laughed and encouraged it. Wizkid literally gave him his biggest hit, ‘Pull Over’”
However, others defended Carter Efe, arguing that he was only reacting to past online disrespect within the fanbase culture.
Another user said:
“If there is nothing wrong with what Wizkid said and how he disrespected Fela Kuti, a whole legend, then there is nothing wrong with what Carter Efe is doing to Wizkid.”
Another added:
“I don’t support Carter Efe disrespecting Wizkid or his family. But if Wizkid FC is fine with disrespecting Fela, they can’t cry when Carter Efe does the same.”
