Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has reportedly received treatment in hospital after a confrontation with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni following a training session on Thursday, according to several Spanish media outlets
Reports say the Uruguay international sustained a facial injury that required stitches and was taken to a medical facility near the club’s Valdebebas training complex, accompanied by coach Alvaro Arbeloa.

The incident is said to have stemmed from an argument between both players during Wednesday’s training session, which continued into Thursday’s workout and escalated afterwards.
Spanish newspaper Marca, which first broke the story, reported that Valverde’s injury was not caused directly by a punch from Tchouameni, but happened unintentionally during the altercation.
Real Madrid and representatives of both players have not issued any official statement on the matter when contacted.
Spanish media also reported that tensions between the pair were already high in training, with Valverde allegedly refusing to shake Tchouameni’s hand and later committing a foul on him, before the situation escalated further in the dressing room.
