Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has officially declared his ambition to contest for the Agege Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives

He made the announcement on Tuesday during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Agege, where he said leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area encouraged him to step forward for the position.

“I am here because the leaders of our party in Agege have called on me to step forward and represent them at the federal level,” he said.

During the same gathering, Obasa also threw his support behind two of his political allies aspiring for seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

He endorsed Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi, former Chairman of Agege Local Government, for Agege Constituency I, while backing Azeez Oladapo Yusuf Ninolowo for Agege Constituency II.

He urged party members to mobilise support and ensure the emergence of their preferred candidates during the APC primaries.
