“Adultery is not gender-based” — Etinosa weighs in on Edoho–Chike saga

Etinosa has weighed in on the talk surrounding comments linked to Frank Edoho and singer Chike, bringing her own perspective on how fidelity in marriage should be viewed.

She didn’t lean into the idea that one gender should be held to a different standard when it comes to cheating. For her, the expectation of loyalty sits the same on both sides once two people are married.

In her words:
“The abomnation of adultry is not for only one gender, sir. As a married woman’s body is a sacred temple, so also a married man’s body,”.

Her point adds to what people are already saying online, where different views are being shared about trust and responsibility in marriage following the earlier comments involving Frank Edoho and Chike.

Since then, her statement has kept attention on how differently people interpret fidelity, with many weighing in on whether men and women are really held to the same standard in relationships.
