President Tinubu has called on Nigerians to pray that bandits and terrorists abandon violence and embrace peace, while reaffirming that anyone who continues criminal activities will face the full weight of the law.
Tinubu made the appeal in his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslims across Nigeria and the world, where he also urged citizens to dedicate prayers for national peace, unity, and guidance for leaders.

He added that Nigerians should also pray for a change of heart among those involved in crime, saying they should reconsider their actions or be ready to face justice.
“To our Muslim faithful, I urge you to use this sacred occasion to pray for our country, for peace in our communities, and for wisdom for those in leadership,” the President said.
“Let us pray that those who commit crimes among us may rethink and abandon their evil ways, or face the full weight of the law,” he stated.
The President explained that Eid-el-Kabir represents sacrifice, obedience and compassion, urging Nigerians to reflect these values by promoting unity and supporting one another regardless of religion or ethnicity.
