“I made rich people watch BBNaija” — Kiddwaya fires back at X user

A post on X recently got attention after a user said Kiddwaya only became known because of his participation in Big Brother Naija.

The comment implied that the reality show was the main reason for his visibility in the entertainment space.

The X user wrote, “Big Brother Naija made Kiddwaya.”

Kiddwaya, who was a housemate on Big Brother Naija Season 5 (Lockdown edition) in 2020, did not ignore the statement. He responded directly, challenging the narrative and insisting that his presence on the show carried a different kind of impact than what was being said online.

He went further to describe the kind of audience he believes he influenced while on the show, linking his personality and background to a certain level of viewership.

“I made rich people watch that show. I’m the reason why it’s popular among the 1%”.

Kiddwaya’s response simply adds his own side to what people were already saying online. Some feel BBNaija made him known, but he clearly sees it differently and believes he brought something different to the show.
