A woman identified on X as Swissbae has accused Davido’s official DJ, DJ Ecool, of se.xual assault, alleging that the incident occurred during a night out in Toronto, Canada.
In a detailed thread shared on X, she said she was posting on behalf of a young woman who contacted her with the allegation, naming DJ Ecool in her account.
She explained that the night began with what she believed was a group outing arranged by a Toronto event host, after an earlier FaceTime call and informal conversation earlier in the day.
According to her, she was invited to meet up at a lounge, but the plans shifted as the night progressed.
She said she got into a vehicle with DJ Ecool, his manager, and a DJ, believing they were all heading to another venue. However, she alleged they arrived at the St. Regis hotel instead.
She wrote:
“I would like to shed light on an event that took place last weekend in Toronto, at the St Regis hotel. A young lady was se.xually assaulted by an ‘artist’ and she reached out to me to share her story on here to call out this rapist. @ecoolofficial”
“When he came back, he introduced me to the group and said we were going to Hawa and then Deja Vu but he had to go handle something and to go with the group… It was Ecool (the artist), a DJ and Ecool’s manager.”
She further alleged that her phone was taken after Ecool saw her texting:
“I entered the hotel with only Ecool… after a few minutes, nobody else came up… I was told everyone had gone their separate ways… That’s when I realized I was alone with him and started to text my friend.”
“He saw my phone and said he didn’t like that I was texting. He then took the phone from me.”
She claimed the situation escalated inside the hotel room, saying she felt uncomfortable and pressured during the encounter:
“When we got back in the room… the lights were dimmed… I was trying to keep my friend updated… I sat on the bed but kept space between us because I was uncomfortable.”
She added:
“We got some food and then after that he started to kiss me. At this point, I knew for sure that I didn’t want to sleep with him… shortly after, he stood up and pulled down his pants. I froze.”
She said she told him she did not want to engage in sexual activity and described the situation as distressing.
The post also stated that she later confronted the event host, who allegedly said the original arrangement was meant to be a group outing, though he claimed he was not aware she ended up alone with Ecool.
