BlownBoy Entertainment, the record label owned by singer, Ruger, has explained the reason behind his recent break from music, linking the hiatus to personal issues involving a former relationship
In a statement addressed to fans, the label confirmed that the singer stepped away from the spotlight for a while after being involved in a legal dispute with an ex-partner who allegedly filed a lawsuit claiming “emotional distress” and “damages.”

According to the statement, the matter has now been resolved, paving the way for Ruger’s return to music.
The label wrote:
“Dear RU Nation,
We know it’s been a while since Ruger dropped new music.
For some time, Ruger was caught up in a series of personal challenges after someone he dated decided to sue him for alleged ‘emotional distress,’ and ‘damages’. That chapter is now behind him. A new chapter begins. A new energy emerges.
Ruger is back to doing what he loves most making music. And best believe, he’s been cooking.
NEW MUSIC DROPS THIS AUGUST.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who remained patient and continued to support Ruger throughout the silence. Your loyalty and belief have meant everything.
This summer, you can catch Ruger performing in:
Belgium
Málaga
Bali
Malawi
United States
August belongs to us.
Stay tuned, enjoy your summer, and get ready for what’s next.
With Appreciation,”
