Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has revealed why he continues to support President Bola Tinubu despite belonging to a different political camp, saying his backing is based on regional interest and the president’s ties to Osun State
Speaking during an interview with journalists, Adeleke said Tinubu deserves support because he is an indigene of Osun by ancestry and currently represents the South at the highest level of government.

The governor’s remarks are consistent with his earlier endorsement of Tinubu’s re-election bid, which he described as a decision made in the interest of Osun State and the Yoruba people, stressing that his support goes beyond party politics.
“I am supporting President Tinubu because he has roots in Osun State, and because it is the turn of the South. Nigerians should please give him time to implement his reforms. He has also made efforts in releasing funds to state governors to support development across the federation,” Adeleke said.
