Nigerian actress Miriam Ogbonna has shared her personal thoughts on love and what it means to feel valued in a relationship, saying she sees financial giving as one of the clearest ways people can express genuine affection.
She explained that if someone truly likes or loves her, they should be willing to give her money.
In her words, she said:
“If you don’t give me money, I will never ever ever ever ever agree that you like or love me. You have to give me money. Money is hard to come by… so if you give me the money you suffered for… ehen!!! I will know you like / love me.”
According to her, money is not always easy to come by, so when it is given especially when it involves effort or sacrifice it carries more meaning and becomes, for her, a sign of real care and intention.
While her view may not align with how everyone defines affection, it shows how individual experiences and values can shape what people expect in relationships and how they believe care should be shown.
