Car influencer, Ola of Lagos has revealed that he was robbed while on a trip across Europe, losing €9,000 — an amount worth more than N14 million
The influencer broke the news on his Snapchat page, announcing that he had cancelled his European tour after discovering the money had been stolen during his travels.
According to Ola, the theft occurred after an exhausting day that saw him travel across four countries using multiple flights and trains.
“Europe Tour cancelled… I just discovered I’ve been robbed… 9000 Euros (14 million Naira plus).
“But man, whoever robbed me is smart and fast… I clapped,” he wrote.
“I visited 4 countries yesterday, many flights, many trains, the stress and all… But haha it’s gone….. Wow….”

Ola of Lagos used the incident to warn others planning to visit Europe, urging them to travel in groups and remain vigilant at all times.
He added that the experience changed his perception of security in Europe, revealing that another acquaintance had allegedly been robbed at gunpoint and lost €100,000 alongside expensive Cartier jewellery and other valuables.
“If you’re traveling anywhere in Europe, please go in a group. Some people should watch out for others, some should keep an eye on the bags. Move as a team. Lagos dey learn for Europe side, I confirm am,” he advised.
“Don’t let Europe end your life. My friend just told me he got robbed at gunpoint – €100k, Cartier jewelry, and more. Mine was just €9k lol.
“Don’t ever think you can’t be robbed in a big man’s area. Lastly, move in group. Bye,” he wrote.

Despite the setback, Ola said he still intends to visit Spain and a few other destinations before returning to Nigeria, while admitting he was impressed by how swiftly the thieves carried out the operation.
“Even in Business class train, big man dey rob….
I give it to Europe
Let’s visit Spain, and may be few others then head back to our Naija boss but mhaaaan, whoever Rob is a Hands up”
