Just as the match appeared destined for extra time, Enzo Fernández scored in the second minute of stoppage time to complete the comeback and seal Argentina’s place in the last eight.
Argentina will now face the winner of the Round of 16 tie between Switzerland and Colombia in Kansas City on July 11.
